MARVELOUS MACHINES
Privacy.
The short version
Marvelous Machines doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children. It doesn’t ask for names, emails, or accounts, show no ads, have no in-app purchases, and don’t track you across apps or websites.
Camera
The camera is used only to recognize the pages of the book and place the animations on them. Camera images are processed on the device and are never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
Vuforia Engine (PTC)
Page recognition is provided by Vuforia Engine from PTC Inc. On iPhone and iPad, to check the app’s license and keep the engine working, Vuforia sends PTC a small amount of technical information: device model, operating system version, Vuforia version, the app’s license, and when the engine starts and stops. It does not include camera images, names, contact details, location, or advertising IDs, and the app can’t turn it off. On Android (version 2.0.0 and later) the app has no internet access at all, so nothing is sent. PTC handles what it receives under the PTC Privacy Policy.
Nothing else
Marvelous Machines doesn’t include analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising tools. Unity’s analytics and hardware statistics are turned off, and Google ARCore is not included.
Children
Marvelous Machines is a picture book for young children to enjoy with a grown-up. Because nothing personal is collected, there is nothing to review or delete; if you have questions, email support@bradgrimm.com. Links that leave the app are behind a grown-up check.
App stores
Apple and Google may collect information when you download or update the app, under their own privacy policies.
