About

Brad Grimm plays acoustic guitar and sings. His set is mostly 90s and 2000s rock and classic rock, songs people already know the words to, reworked for one guitar and one voice and moved into his own key. Blink-182 and Journey sit next to Van Morrison and the Beatles.

He came at it sideways. He learned drums in his late thirties and spent two years behind the kit in Grimstone, a Riverton rock band, where he also ran sound. Alongside that he played guitar and drums in School of Rock's adult program in Sandy for four years. In 2026 he moved to the front of the stage. He writes his own songs too.

What I play

Patio or brewery	1–2 hrs	Background to mid volume. I'll check the level with you once things get going.
Private and holiday parties	1–2 hrs	Nov–Dec sets mix Christmas songs into the rock set.
Dinner or cocktail hour	1–2 hrs	The quieter end of the list, like Blackbird and Ain't No Sunshine.
Wedding ceremony + cocktail hour	Up to 90 min	I learn your processional and recessional. Needs 3+ weeks' notice.
Community events, summer series	45 min–2 hrs	Family friendly. Lots of singalongs.

Sets run 30 minutes to two hours, with a short break in anything over an hour. I'm not a three-hour act yet, and I'd rather tell you that now.

Rider basics

• Space: a flat spot about 6x6 feet. Shade or cover if it's outside.
• Power: none needed. I run on a battery station that lasts a full event. If there's an outlet, I can plug in.
• Sound: I bring my own and run it myself. Two Yamaha DBR12 speakers for patios and bigger rooms, or a Fishman acoustic amp for small ones. Mics and cables included.
• Timing: 15 minutes to set up, 10 to pack up. I'm set up before your guests arrive.
• Breaks: 10–15 minutes in sets over an hour, with recorded music through my speaker.
• From you: parking close to the load-in, and a chair without arms if you have one. Water is appreciated.
• Insurance: not currently. I can add event coverage if your venue requires it.
• Rates: depend on length and date. Ask and I'll send a number the same day.
